The Schluger-Ammons Study Club
Thanks to the help of our members, we can use the web to inform you about the activity of our Study Club.
In 2006, a name change was proposed and approved: The Saul Schluger Study Club became
The Schluger-Ammons Study Club.
We think it is the best way to honor these two great educators who were so important for the residents of the Department of Periodontics at the University of Washington.
The dedication of Saul and “Wild” Bill to periodontal education is legendary and they propelled us to become a top program. Now, after 52 years, we have a very distinguished list of alumni and “friends” of the program.
Both Bill & Saul were each one of a kind and one cannot help but smile when thinking of them. Albert Einstein once said: “It is the ideal that animates our best actions.” Bill & Saul both strived for the ideal and achieved some incredibly important things for our program. We thank them for all they did and we recognize that with the changed study club name.
We hope you will enjoy our web site. Please look at it with a critical eye - your feedback is always welcome as we want it to be user friendly to you and we want to provide the kinds of information that you need about what kinds of things are going on for the study club, including information about upcoming meetings.
